Last Friday, we had the joy of celebrating one of our favorite traditions—Reading Day! Our students visited Central Grade, Teddybear Preschool, and TCAPS Montessori to share the stories they’ve been working so hard on. It was a heartwarming experience to watch them read aloud to younger students, proudly sharing their creativity and hard work. Reading Day is a beautiful reflection of what makes Greenspire so special—project-based learning and community connection. Our students weren’t just presenting their writing; they were building confidence, practicing leadership, and making meaningful connections with others in the broader school community.

Those below 60% will remain at school to catch up on work and may still become eligible for later trips.
Whole School:
- Festival of Athletics, Wednesday, June 4th: In the morning, both middle and high school students will walk to Thirlby Field to participate in a variety of athletic events. In the afternoon, we’ll return to campus for our final Pizza Wednesday and enjoy a Concert in the Courtyard. We’re looking forward to this fun and active day!
- Grade Level Trips, Thursday, June 5th: Please refer to previous emails for specific details about your student’s grade-level trip.
- Pit Spitters, Friday, June 6th: We’re excited to celebrate our students’ reading accomplishments with a trip to a Pit Spitters baseball game! Many students still need to return their permission slips. If we have not received one, a new copy was sent home with your child today.
If you have any questions, need help accessing forms, or would like support with the cost of any trip, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for helping us end the year with fun and memorable experiences for our students!

We’re looking forward to celebrating our amazing 8th graders as they prepare to move on to high school! Our 8th Grade Graduation is a special Greenspire tradition and mandatory for all 8th grade students. It gives us one final opportunity to recognize and honor them in front of the full school community.

Open to the Public: Families and guests are warmly invited to attend! It is first come, first serve for seating.
This event is a meaningful milestone and a highlight of our year. We can’t wait to see you there!
A message from Robin Roche, School Counselor:
Dear Greenspire Families- I wanted to let you know that this will be my last year at the Middle School. I enjoyed my time here and if you trusted me with your stories, thank you! Greenspire students are unique and creative and I will miss spending my days amongst them. If there is anything I can help with before the end of the year, please reach out. I am attaching a list of community-based counseling resources to this newsletter for your reference.
