Hello Greenspire Community –

A few reminders and announcements for the week…

Enrollment
A quick reminder that our enrollment period is underway until Friday, March 12th at 4:00 pm.

All current students must complete an application by the deadline for either the middle school or high school to secure your spot for the 2021-2022 school year.  We have seen a large amount of new applications from prospective families during the first week, so it will be very important to have your enrollment application in by the deadline to secure your spot for next year.

To complete an application, please visit the site below for further instructions…
https://greenspireschool.org/apply/

Middle School applications can be submitted to office@greenspireschool.org.  For questions about middle school enrollment, please contact Jill Rowley at jill.rowley@greenspireschool.org.

High School applications can be submitted to hsoffice@greenspireschool.org.  For questions about high school enrollment, please contact Michael Schramm at michael.schramm@greenspireschool.org.

Self-Screening
Please continue to conduct self-screenings for your child at home before coming to school.  While more and more adults are being vaccinated, children still remain vulnerable to COVID-19.  Just in the last week, 50% of the school associated cases in the county involved a student coming to school during their infectious period resulting in the quarantine of students and faculty/staff for a period of time.

We appreciate your help to make sure that our school is a COVID-19 free environment.

HIV/AIDS Curriculum Information Sessions
Every year, all Michigan schools are required to provide HIV/AIDS education to students.  Our students are scheduled to have this unit taught to them in May during Health class.  Greenspire utilizes the Michigan Model curriculum.  We are offering two informational sessions for parents/guardians to learn more about our chosen curriculum.  The first will take place via Zoom on Wednesday, March 24th at 5:00 pm.  The second will take place in-person (tentatively) at school on Wednesday, April 7th at 5:00 pm (masks and social distancing required).  Specific information about both sessions can be found HERE.

Half-Day – Friday, February 26th – Teacher Planning
It has been a long time since we had a half-day, but we have one coming up this Friday, February 26th for a Teacher Planning session.  The school day is from 8:30 am – 11:30 am.  All students will need to be picked-up at 11:30 am ?

Have a great week!
