A big thank you to all of those that donated items and volunteered their time at the pancake lunch on Friday…which used the maple syrup that Fitz and our students created a few weeks ago. We appreciate your resources and time to make this event happen!
Construction at Arnell Campus (Creekside)
Please see the attached letter about some parking lot construction that may affect traffic flow for the next couple of weeks at Northwest Ed’s Arnell Campus (across the street/field from Greenspire). We should not be using their parking lot for drop-off or pick-up anyway, but they wanted to let us know that traffic might be disrupted until the project is completed. So far, the exit down the dirt road is still relatively smooth 😉
Mental Health Presentation – Wednesday, May 17th
We are hosting a Mental Health Presentation for parents of middle school and high school students on Wednesday, May 17th from 4:30pm – 5:30 pm at the high school campus. The high school campus is located on the second floor of NMC’s University Center off of Cass Road.
Our Counselor Sarah Schaub will be hosting a panel of four community mental health professionals discussing the following topics:
Eric LaPaugh – True North TC – The evolution and benefits of wilderness/nature therapy.
Amy Loeb – Head and Heart TC – The impact of social media on a developing nervous system.
Nicole Bell – Mental Wellness Counseling – The latest research surrounding the impacts of technology on our mental health.
Diana Ro – Resilient Mental Health – How to find a balance between social media and mental health.
We hope to see everyone there and we appreciate these local professionals volunteering their time to speak with the Greenspire community.
Congratulations to Michael and Emily
A huge congratulations to Michael and Emily for their new positions beginning on July 1st. They are the perfect people to fill those roles and we are lucky to have both. I am meeting regularly with both to ensure a smooth transition for both the Superintendent role and the Head of School role at the middle school.
