Becky Morse

Middle School Principal

Northern Michigan has always been home for my family and me. For four years, we had the incredible opportunity to take home on the road, traveling and homeschooling our children across the country in our RV. Along the way, we hiked in more than 20 National Parks, soaked in hot springs along the Rio Grande, roasted marshmallows on the Winter Solstice near Mt. Whitney, watched for the green flash at sunset in Key West, and trick-or-treated in Salem, Massachusetts, one of my personal favorites! Our travels gave us an incredible opportunity to learn together, experience different communities, and see firsthand how much learning can happen beyond the walls of a classroom. After all of those adventures, there is still no place we would rather call home than Northern Michigan.

I have been fortunate to be part of the Greenspire community for the past several years, serving in different roles and getting to know our students, families, staff, and school along the way. Now, as the Middle School Principal, I am grateful for the opportunity to lead a school and community that I care so deeply about.

My background as an elementary teacher, homeschooling educator, and school administrator has shaped my belief that schools are strongest when students, families, and staff work together. I value collaboration, open communication, creativity, and building genuine relationships with students. As a school leader, I want Greenspire to be a place where students feel known, supported, challenged, and excited to come to school, and where staff and families know that their voices and ideas matter.

I am incredibly grateful to continue growing alongside the students, families, and staff of Greenspire Middle School and look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
