Hello Greenspire Community –
The entire faculty/staff of The Greenspire School would like to say a big THANK YOU for your patience, flexibility, adaptability, and encouragement during the 2020-2021 school year. While the last school year continued to be challenging as we navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, your support helped Greenspire stay COVID-19 free with NO school-related cases. Over the next several weeks, we should know more about what the 2021-2022 school year will look like. As information becomes available to schools, I will pass it along.
Whether you are graduating Greenspire, returning to the middle school or going to our new high school in the fall, there is a lot to look forward to in 2021-2022 as you continue to be part of the Greenspire community…
The Greenspire School 10th Anniversary – The 2021-2022 school year marks Greenspire’s 10th Anniversary and we will be celebrating all year long. More information will be sent out in the coming months, but there will be opportunities for current students and families, alumni, and community members to participate. Stay tuned!
The Greenspire High School – We are so lucky to have so many middle school students and returning students headed over to the high school this fall, as well as Katie, Phil and Torre. Our high school program will be an amazing addition to the Greenspire family. We still have a few spots available for students, so if you know of anyone that would like to become part of the Greenspire community, please have them visit https://greenspireschool.org/apply-high-school/ as soon as possible to apply. The Greenspire Charitable Foundation – In the fall we will hold our second 100% in 100 Days campaign to raise money for our charitable foundation. The foundation’s mission is to support Greenspire and it’s faculty/staff and students which they have done throughout the 2020-2021 school year. We will continue to appreciate any donation that you can make as the campaign is about participation and not how much money you donate.
The Greenspire Middle School building improvements – Over the summer and throughout the next school year, we will be making improvements to the furniture, fixtures, technology and learning spaces (both inside and outside) at the middle school. Over the next couple of years, the hope is to construct an outdoor learning space using the winning student design from the Breaking Ground project during the 4th quarter.
One immediate improvement that you will find is our new phone system that is scheduled to be installed later this week. We may experience a temporary phone outage on June 24th and June 25th as the new phone system is installed at both schools. We will keep the same phone number for both schools and you will be prompted to press 1 or 2 for either the middle school or high school. Both schools will now have multiple lines, so no more busy signals. This new system will also include a new voicemail system instead of our famous answering machine Thanks again for all of your effort to keep Greenspire strong!
