Weather Related Closures:  In the event that school is cancelled due to weather, you will be notified in the following four ways:

  • Email to all students and parents
  • Banner posting on the Greenspire website
  • Facebook posting, social media posting
  • Listing on 7&4 and 9&10 (including their websites)

Please remember that The Greenspire School does not automatically close with TCAPS.  Please check the school closings for a specific Greenspire listing.

Spirit Wear Order: The deadline to order our Limited Edition Frostbite Spirit Wear is Sunday, November 20th at 11:59 pm.  Please make sure you place your order prior to the deadline.  No late orders can be accepted by the vendor.

The Giving Season: For those of you that are new to the middle school, The Giving Season is an annual tradition for us.  Each year we embark on a different fundraiser, drive, or community event.  This year, we are proud to announce that we are supporting two organizations:

What makes this year even more special is that our second quarter project, Toys R’nt Us will be integrated into the campaign with the Leader Dogs for the Blind organization.  They were extremely excited to partner with us this season and be part of our project!

More information about both campaigns will be released soon, but in the meantime, check out the fliers below!

Grand Traverse Commons Natural Area: A new design plan for the Grand Traverse Commons Natural Area has been unveiled, showing a proposed 9.65-mile trail system for the park – including mountain biking, hiking, and other new trails – as well as new park trailheads, amenities, and safety and environmental upgrades. Several million dollars’ worth of improvements are recommended at the Commons Natural Area as part of Garfield Township’s first formal plan for the property. The township is accepting public comment until November 20, 2022. On January 10, 2023, the township plans to hold their last public hearing on the draft, with fundraising beginning in 2023. If you, alumni you know, or any other family members would like to write to the township with your thoughts, please do so by Sunday, November 20, 2022 via email at parks@garfield-twp.com.
