It was wonderful to see our students back in the building after spring break! While it may not quite feel like spring yet, we are already entering the final quarter of the school year. This means it’s time to start looking ahead—registration for next year is underway, so if you haven’t already, please check the email from Becky earlier this week for important details.
It’s also time to sign up for spring conferences! Please see below for all the information you need to schedule a time to meet with teachers.

April 11 – Field Trips & PSAT
On April 11, 6th and 7th graders will take a field trip to the Traverse Area District Library (TADL). They will leave by bus at 9:00 AM, spend time at the library, and then embark on a walking field trip to multiple stops around Traverse City to kick off their next project. Students will walk back to Greenspire before dismissal. They must bring their lunch for the trip.
While the 6th and 7th graders are out, 8th graders will take the PSAT, a mandatory state test for all Michigan 8th graders. Testing will conclude around lunchtime, followed by a mini walking field trip to introduce their next project.
Please ensure your student is prepared for the day’s activities! If you do not give your student permission to attend the field trip, please email Emily.Feaster@greenspireschool.org no later than Wednesday, April 9th.
Spring Conferences- April 17 and April 18
Spring Conferences are coming up! Please sign up for a Student-Led Conference with your student’s advisory teacher using the links below. These conferences are designed for students to take the lead in discussing their progress, so your student will need to attend. You’ll have time to connect with their advisory teacher about their overall academic progress.
If you would like to meet with another teacher regarding a specific subject, please email them directly to schedule a meeting.

Taco Tuesday
We are excited to announce that Taco Tuesday is coming to our school starting April 8th! For just $4, students will receive two delicious tacos from La Señorita, with their choice of chicken or beef.
Important Details:
- Payment (Cash Only) is due on Friday Mornings to receive tacos the following Tuesday.
- We cannot accept orders after Friday each week.
Read a Book Challenge: Best news ever! Our students and staff successfully achieved our 1,000 reports goal, which means we won all of our prizes! Ice cream sandwiches were doled out on Friday, we have a Choice Day coming up in May or June, AND we are going to the Pit Spitters game for a school field trip!! Details: June 6, 11:05 am game, FREE for students and staff, we will bus everyone to the game, parents are welcome to join for $10 per ticket. If you want to come, please send Claire how many tickets you would like before the end of next week. We will send permissions slips and more information out soon.

Explore the Great Lakes Maritime Academy’s Training Ship!
Looking for a unique educational experience? The Great Lakes Maritime Academy is hosting its annual open house, offering a rare opportunity to tour the State of Michigan, their impressive training ship! Visitors can explore the vessel, guided by current cadets who will share insights into life at sea and maritime careers. More information can be found on their Facebook Page.

English: English: Students have been working on their final products for this quarter’s project, where they had a choice of four creations to make based on the novels they read. Grades for novel reading and reading questions are updated, and final product grades will be in soon. Please review grades and work on any assignments that are missing or incomplete.
In case you missed it, here is a recording of the NASA and Future Engineers event that took place on March 21. We did not get any finalists for the writing competition, but hearing from the individuals who work for NASA was really exciting! Well done to all who submitted from our school. I am proud of all their writing and definitely think we had some winners in our group.
