Hello Middle School Community –
It was a great first week of school at the middle school campus!
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Thank you to everyone for the smooth drop-off and pick-up process last week. Not that I was timing the pick-up line or anything…but we did start with 19 minutes, then 15 minutes, then 12 minutes by the end of the week. Our usual process after the first week or two of school is about 10-12 minutes.
A few reminders for drop-off and pick-up:
- Please make sure that all bright green placards are displayed on the left side of your windshield for pick-up. This greatly helps to speed up the process and keep our students safe.
- At pick-up and drop-off, please have students exit the passenger side of your car and drop-off only in the designated zone. This helps to ensure the safety of the students by not crossing the street and not block the road for Northwest Ed and the residents of the Commons.
- Please keep speeds slow through this area in the morning and afternoon.
Leelanau Outdoor Center (LOC)
We are excited to return to the Leelanau Outdoor Center this week!
The bus is leaving right at 7:45 am on Wednesday morning. We cannot wait for any late arrivals. Please make sure you arrive around 7:30 am to allow enough time to get settled and seated on the bus.
We will return on Thursday at our normal pick-up time of 3:30 pm with a normal, yet maybe slower than normal, pick-up
Below and attached is a copy of the packing list for the trip.
If you have any questions regarding LOC, please contact Emily at emily.feaster@greenspireschool.org.
