Hello Greenspire Middle School Community –
We hope that you are able to attend our Greenspire 101 Series: Project Based Learning event this Wednesday, October 6th from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. This is an opportunity for you to experience project based learning for yourselves. You will experience firsthand what your students do each day at Greenspire. This will be the most interactive back to school evening you will have ever experienced in any school 
. Masks are required of all attendees.

As COVID-19 and other illnesses continue to be at high levels here in the Traverse City region particularly with K-12 students, it is extremely important to keep your child(ren) home if they are experiencing any symptoms. Our community did a great job with this last year and it helped us to have ZERO positive school associated COVID-19 cases during the 2020-2021 school year…an anomaly among schools in the region and across the state.
We continue to ask for your assistance by doing daily self-checks with your child(ren) before leaving each morning. Almost all school associated cases are brought into schools by exposure outside of school or at home. Conducting daily self-checks will assist in keeping your students in-person with no program interruptions due to mandatory quarantines, staffing shortages or temporary closures.

A few reminders:
- Please remember that all students need both indoor and outdoor shoes at Greenspire. Changing shoes will help keep our building clean throughout the school day.
- With our new schedule for the 2021-2022 school year, students sometimes go straight to class at 8:30 am in lieu of advisory and council that may occur at other times throughout the day. Please do your best to arrive on time each day, as some classes may leave campus and it may not be possible for your students to catch-up with those classes when out on the trails or off campus.
