JOIN US ON APRIL 25, 2024 FOR GREENSPIRE'S FLIGHT NIGHT FUNDRAISER

Dear Greenspire Community,

Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to work toward preserving in-person learning and co-curricular activities for our students while ensuring their safety is not jeopardized.

In partnership with Munson Healthcare we invite you to a series of webinars that will provide you and your family with an opportunity to learn more about protecting yourself and others from COVID-19 – with data-driven, accurate information coming straight from the experts. You may find their insight helpful as you consider whether vaccination is the right choice for you and your family. To register for either of the two webinars, click a link below:

  • 1:30-2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 13 (Dr. Joseph D. Santangelo, pediatrician)
  • 2:30-3:30 p.m., Friday, May 21 (Dr. Christine Nefcy, Chief Medical Officer for Munson Healthcare)

When it comes to COVID-19 and vaccination options, we want to make sure you are being provided with the most reliable sources of information available.

The health care professionals who work in our hospitals and serve the needs of our friends and neighbors have an invaluable perspective of this ongoing pandemic. They have seen firsthand the tragic impacts COVID-19 has had on our communities, as well as the positive stories of those who have been vaccinated and are able to resume some sense of normalcy.

As school officials, we rely on the advice of health experts to guide our decisions, but positive COVID-19 case numbers and the number of close contacts who are quarantining all contribute to school closures, and cancellations of athletic or school-sponsored social events. Vaccination may be a useful tool in keeping our programs operating and minimizing quarantine requirements for close-contact situations.

The safety of our students and school families is always a top priority. We encourage you to join us for an informational discussion of COVID-19 vaccines and learn from the experts to determine if vaccination is right for you.

Respectfully,

Robert Walker, EdD
