Hello Greenspire Community –

If you haven’t had an opportunity to view our new Greenspire website, please take a moment to do so.  It went live last Thursday evening.

Commitment Form – 2nd Quarter

All families will need to complete the Commitment Form for the 2nd Quarter.  This is the same form as the 1st Quarter.  Families are able to choose in-person (currently hybrid) or our fully remote learning option.

Please complete this form by Monday, November 2nd at 8:00 am.

We do not anticipate reshuffling hybrid days, however we may adjust individual pods as needed due to student count.

Two updates from our board meeting last week…

Academic Calendar 2020-2021

The half day on Friday, November 13th has been changed to a full day of school due to our hybrid learning schedule.

The dates for Parent/Guardian-Teacher Conferences have been adjusted to reflect November 9-13th.

Student & Parent Guardian Handbook

Two changes were made – the inclusion of our new volunteer policy and a change to the dress code regarding facial coverings/masks.

Google Classroom – How do I check my child’s progress? Please see the video below for more information – thank you Emily for creating this video!

Halloween Party

You should have received more information from Sarah regarding our upcoming Halloween Party this Wednesday, October 28th from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.  Both hybrid and fully remote students are invited to attend.  Normal facial coverings/masks must be worn, even under a Halloween mask.  The event will be held outside, so please dress appropriately for any weather conditions that we may face Wednesday afternoon.

Options Considered

During the public comment portion of our board meeting last Monday, a request was made to better understand all of the options that Greenspire took into consideration and/or adopted related to the COVID-19 pandemic since July.

Please see the link below for a list of some of the options that we considered and/or adopted over the past several months to make a safe learning environment for our students and faculty/staff.

Thanks,

Robert Walker, EdS
