Hello Greenspire Community –

The second quarter begins this Monday, November 9th.  Along with the recent change to Phase 4, there are several other changes to our in-person (hybrid) schedule and fully remote schedule going forward.  Please see the information below…

In-Person (Hybrid) Students

A Week Ahead will be posted for in-person (hybrid) students and their parents on our website under Toolbox – Middle School Resources.  Sarah will post this to the website as soon as possible every Monday.  This document will also contain any Zoom links required for in-person (hybrid) students when learning from home.  Feel free to bookmark the link below…

Based on feedback from our community, we have increased in-person instructional time for many of our classes.  Most of these changes were piloted this past week for in-person (hybrid) students.

  • Math –  increases from 45-50 minutes to 120 minutes (2 hours)
  • Increase of instructional time in Social Studies, ELA, Literature, and World Languages

All in-person (hybrid) students will have a remote Math class on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm – 1:40 pm.  There will no longer be a math course offered on Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday due to the increased in-person instructional time for students while at school and our teachers’ schedules.

Students will continue to have Physical Education and Nature Trail.

Students will attend “RoSa” which is a period taught by Robert and/or Sarah and will include activities, electives, outdoor learning and life skills.

Beginning in December, students will complete Health remotely to maximize in-person instructional time – Tuesdays from 11:30 am – 12:10 pm and Fridays from 11:30 am – 12:10 pm

Electives are discontinued for the time-being.

Teachers will try to provide additional resources for in-person (hybrid) students when working from home.  However with the increased in-person instructional time, this may come in the form of videos, tutorials, or office hour opportunities.  These resources will be posted to individual Google Classroom pages.

Fully Remote Students

Beginning in December, students will complete Health remotely.  Stay tuned for more details!
