Hello Greenspire Community –

Teacher Planning Week

As you know Teacher Planning Week beings today and we need to have our final count in place so that we can create multiple master schedules for both in-person students and remote students. We will not be able to do that until we have all of the commitment forms submitted. Almost all of the forms have been submitted, but If you have not completed the Commitment Form, please do so as soon as possible

Once we have all of the results, we will…

  • Create master schedules for Phase 5 In-Person, Phase 5 Remote Learning, Phase 4 In-Person (5 days per week or hybrid depending on count), Phase 4 Remote Learning, and Phase 3 Remote Learning.
  • Determine logistics for drop-off and pick-up. If necessary.
  • Determine logistics for student access to the locker room at beginning and end of day.
  • Create advisories and pods for both in-person and remote student.
  • Compile resources to help parents navigate remote learning.

My hope is to communicate schedules and other logistics to next Monday.

House Keeping Items

Please see the 2020-2021 School Supply List found in the Toolbox section of our website. Make sure that you add a facial covering and refillable water bottle to that list! We continue to ask for any contributions of hand sanitizer and/ or disinfectant wipes that you may be able to find out in the stores. In you have not already seen it, the 2020-2020 School Calendar is located in the Toolbox section of the website.

Open House

New Students to Greenspire are invited to an Open House on Thursday, August 27th.

Due to the limits on the crowd size to ensure proper social distancing, we are only able to host new students and up to two guests at our Open House (new students siblings of current students or graduates are welcome). Families can sign-up for 30 minutes slots beginning at 4:30 pm. Please visit the link below to signup for slot. Please limit attendees to the student, plus two adults (3 people maximum) to allow all new students the opportunity to attend. Please limit your stay to no more than 30 minutes to allow the next group to move through the buildings.

Facial coverings (masks) are required for all attendees.

We wish that could host all of our families at Open House next week, but unfortunately, we can only have new families attend at this time. We hope to see the rest of you soon!

Busy Week

We have a busy week ahead. We will be working this week to get all the finishing touches done before our first day of school on September 8th.

Sincerely,

Robert Walker, EdS
