Hello,
We are excited to welcome everyone back for the 2023-2024 school year. Each weekend, you will receive a weekly update that gives information about the week ahead. These are intentionally comprehensive emails to minimize multiple emails throughout the week.
Important dates to put on your calendar:
- Open House- Thursday, August 31 from 4-6
- First Day of School- Tuesday, September 5, 8:30 am-11:30 am
- Leelanau Outdoor Center- Wednesday, September 13 & 14
Open House– This is a time for students to meet their teachers, find their lockers and see their friends. For guardians, it is a time to learn about project-based learning, connect with your student’s advisory teacher, and meet other parents. Feel free to drop in anytime between 4 and 6 pm.
First Day of School– Our first day of school will be Tuesday, September 5. School starts at 8:30 am and students are dismissed at 11:30 am.
Leelanau Outdoor Center– On Wednesday, September 13 all middle school students and staff will head to Leelanau Outdoor Center for an overnight trip. They will need to be dropped off by 7:45 am Wednesday morning. They will return on Thursday, September 14 for pickup at 3:30 pm. The cost for the trip is $125. Please see the attached form for more information about this trip.

- Indoor Shoes
- Outdoor Shoes
- Full change of clothes including socks
- Water Bottle
- Sunscreen
- Optional-Headphones for class
Every day, students should bring a packed lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. We do not have fridges or microwaves for students to use.
