The Greenspire School offers a unique educational program for middle school students based on purposeful connections between individuals, communities, and the environment. Founded on the belief of community and global responsibility to each other and the Earth, The Greenspire School (TGS) is a public charter school authorized by Grand Valley State University.  Located on the Grand Traverse Commons, TGS incorporates Montessori philosophy and method, place-based education in collaboration with many community partners, hands-on learning indoors and out, and small, multi-age classes.
